Yapped Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Yapped. By using Yapped, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Yapped is a mobile app for building a daily content habit. The app lets you choose or generate hook ideas, record short videos, process a yap, save a cleaned take or the original local recording to your camera roll, and track your streak.

Yapped does not guarantee audience growth, revenue, social-media performance, or any specific outcome. The app gives you tools for practice and consistency; you are responsible for what you record, save, post, and publish.

Accounts

Yapped may create an anonymous account so you can complete onboarding and your first yap before Apple sign-in. If you sign in with Apple, Yapped links that Apple identity to the same account where possible. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple account and device.

User Content

"User Content" means recordings, transcripts, topics, brand context, prompts, hooks you choose or write, and other content you provide through Yapped.

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Yapped a limited license to host, process, transcribe, trim, display, and otherwise use your User Content as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service. This includes creating transcripts, thumbnails, cleaned-take clips, cleanup summaries, and tailored hook suggestions.

You represent that you have the rights needed to provide your User Content to Yapped and to post or share anything you export from the app.

Hook Suggestions

Yapped may use AI systems to generate hook ideas from your brand context and selected templates. Hook suggestions are optional creative prompts. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use them.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Yapped to:

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for Yapped, other users, or third parties.

Subscriptions and Billing

Yapped is a paid subscription product after the allowed onboarding experience. Subscription products are configured in App Store Connect and Superwall.

Prices, trial availability, and billing periods are shown at the point of purchase and may vary by country, currency, tax, promotion, or App Store configuration.

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Plans auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel through iOS Settings or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. If you cancel, access continues until Apple or Superwall reports that the entitlement has expired. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Deleting your Yapped account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel your subscription through Apple if you do not want future billing.

Restore Purchases

Yapped provides Restore Purchases from the paywall path and Settings. Restore Purchases checks your Apple and Superwall entitlement state and syncs it to Yapped's backend.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes your Yapped account and associated server-side data. Clips you previously saved to your device camera roll remain on your device unless you delete them yourself.

App Store Terms

If you downloaded Yapped from Apple, Apple's terms and App Store rules also apply to your purchase and use of the app. Apple is not responsible for providing support for Yapped.

Disclaimers

Yapped is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yapped disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yapped will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. Yapped's total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Yapped in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. Your continued use of Yapped after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, except where applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
